Frank Trogdon

With over 20 years of experience, Frank Trogdon has held a number of positions in production and enginetrogdonering management in the Textile Industry. His experience also includes the following:

An accomplished career with the N.C. Department of Labor, Division of Occupational Safety and Health.

Retired as the Safety District Supervisor with the OSHA Bureau of Compliance. During his last eight years with NC OSHA, Frank was responsible for the enforcement of OSHA regulations for the entire Piedmont area of North Carolina.

Participated in the OSHA policymaking process in North Carolina and has been used as an expert witness throughout his career.

Currently registered as a certified ISA (Independent STAR Assessor), which allows him to be a mentor or an auditor to a company that is working toward STAR status under OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program.

At Operations Excellence, Inc., Frank conducts OSHA compliance audits for a wide variety of industries, including furniture manufacturers, bearing manufacturers, plating operations, lumber mills, and municipalities, with emphasis on water and wastewater plants.

Frank leads training classes relating to every phase of OSHA regulations, including general industry and construction.

Additionally, he is heavily involved in making technical assistance visits to employers throughout the state to aid in OSHA compliance.

Specific focus areas included noise abatement, hazardous materials use, electrical hazards, machine guarding, personal protective equipment, lockout/tag out, confined space entry and trenching and excavation.

Frank graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with a degree in business administration with a major in production management. Frank's experience in industry and in OSHA allows him to communicate well with production personnel, management and government officials.
