Jerry Smith - President
Jerry's experience spans over 20 years in Environmental and Industrial Services including all areas of emergency response, remediation and training.
He has been actively involved in responding to numerous hazardous materials emergencies throughout the southeastern United States.
Jerry is often called upon to interact with State and Federal regulatory agencies and our clients in the areas of hazardous materials response, remediation and disposal activities.
He leads technical training sessions in the areas of hazardous materials response for state and local government agencies, major rail carriers and general industry.
Jerry also manages health and safety operations during RCRA/CERCLA Superfund remedial projects, and conducts numerous training sessions for OSHA, EPA and DOT compliance in such areas as confined space entry, lock out/tag out, hot work, hazard communication and proper waste management and minimization.
He is a frequent speaker at safety conferences and seminars where he relates to his audience with a proven hands-on approach to emergency response activities and the daily health and safety events involved in industry.
Speaking from his personal on-site experience, he relays his knowledge in a vivid and
sincere manner that consistently wins praise from his audiences.
Jerry attended the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, Guilford Technical Community College and has completed numerous courses in Waste Management, Federal Transportation Regulations and OSHA/RCRA Regulations.
Jerry manages companies and trains personnel to stay in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Jerry is training over 10,000 students a year.
